لكي أقبل الأشياء التي لا أستطيع أن أغيرها
والشجاعة لأغير الأشياء التي أستطيع أن أغيرها
والحكمة لأعرف الفرق بين الأثنين
ساعدني أن أحيا يوما ً بيوم
أستمتع بكل لحظة في وقتها
ساعدني أن أقبل الصعاب وأجتاز فيها لأصل للسلام
ساعدني أن أقبل العالم والناس كما هم وليس كما أريدهم أن يكونوا
ساعدني أن أتغير أنا
واثقا ً أنك صاحب السلطان وسوف تفعل كل شئ حسنا إن سلمت قلبي وحياتي لمشيئتك

Mon dieu donnez-moi la SÉRÉNITÉ
d’accepter les choses que je ne peux changer,
le COURAGE de changer les choses
que je peux changer
et la SAGESSE d’en connaître la différence.
De vivre un jour à la fois,
d’accepter les épreuves comme le chemin vers la paix,
d’accepter comme IL l’a fait ce monde comme il est,
et non pas comme je voudrais qu’il soit.
De croire qu’il va prendre soin de tout
si je capitule et si je m’en remets à Sa volonté,
que je peux être raisonnablement heureux dans cette vie
et suprêmement heureux avec Lui, pour toujours dans le futur.

and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,

If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,

Signore,
concedimi la serenità di accettare le cose che non posso cambiare;
la forza ed il coraggio di cambiare le cose che posso cambiare;
e la saggezza di conoscerne la differenza.
Vivendo un giorno alla volta;
godendo di un momento alla volta;
accettando le avversità come la via alla pace;
prendendo, come Egli stesso ha fatto,
questo mondo di peccati com’è, e non come lo vorrei io;
fidandomi che Egli farà tutto giusto se mi arrendo alla Sua volontà;
che io sia ragionevolmente felice in questa vita
e supremamente felice con Lui per sempre nella prossima.
