On Friday morning, November 13th, the Coptic Catholic Church in Egypt celebrated the enthronement of His Excellency Anba Basillius Fawzi on the seat of Menya Diocese for Coptic Catholics, chaired by His Beatitude the Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Ishac, Patriarch of Alexandria for Coptic Catholics, and Chairman of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Egypt, at the Cathedral Jesus the King in Menya.
His Beatitude the Patriarch Cardinal Anba Antonios Naguib, the Honorary Patriarch of the Coptic Catholics, His Excellency Bishop Nicholas Henry, the papal ambassador in Egypt, the honorable fathers, the bishops, members of the Holy Patriarchal Synod of the Coptic Catholic Church, and His Excellency Bishop Georges Shehan, the Bishop of the Maronite Church in Egypt & His Excellency Anba Makarios, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Menya, participated in the ceremony of the enthronement.
Father Kerolos Maximus, Father Said Luke, pastor of the cathedral, Father Bishoy Rasmi, director of the seminar college in Maadi, Father Boulos Sati, patriarchal administrator of the Chaldeans, the head of the community in Egypt, a group of priests, and the chorus of deacons of the seminar college in Maadi, in addition to the Major General Minister Osama Al-Qadi, Governor of Menya, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud, the Deputy Governor, and many public figures, participated also, and the people who came to celebrate.
